December - Time of the Christmas markets
This year I visited for the first time the Christmas market in Ravennaschlucht. Underneath a railroad viaduct you can find around fourty lodges selling food, arts and crafts. Unfortunately there was no snow, but still it was a great and peaceful atmosphere.
In comparison the Christmas market in Freiburg is much more busy. On the weekends you have to push yourself through the crowd to see the lodges or to get a glass of hot wine. Still, the smell of food and drinks and all the different groups performing carols, brings out the christmas spirit.

With the eyes of a tourist - Freiburg 2014
This summer was my last summer in Freiburg, because I will finish studying in february this year. I really enjoyed my time here, but I have not that many pictures from that great city. So I decided to do a tourist day in Freiburg with a friend of mine - walking around, taking pictures and trying to see the city with the eyes of an tourist.

Heading East - August 2014
Two weeks free. The question is where to go?
I want to do a road trip with two friends. We already organized a car for two weeks. Now we only need a direction. Usually, when planning my travels in Europe, I focused on the countries that are located in the west or south of Germany. So this time we want to explore a part of the east.
Let’s start from the beginning.

Bolivia 2012
My first travel to another continent all alone. Well, not exactly, because I went to visit J who was living for one year in La Paz. La Paz is located at an elevation of roughly 3500 m about sea level. While the rich people in other cities prefer to live on top of the hills to have a better view, here it is the other way round. They prefer to live in the valley, because the higher you get the less oxygen is in the air.

Interrail trip in France 2009
Everything started with an Interrailtrip in
France 2009. Because I have the habit to write a diary while travelling, I will
not keep back with my first experiences.
E. and I wanted to do an Interrail trip. We had
only two weeks, so we decided to take only a ticket for one country. It was
obvious for us to go to France. First of all it has got a border with Germany
and was therefore easy to get there. And second we learned French in school and
wanted to see how much we could use of that.
