More than half year ago I got an invitation for a wedding in Madrid. Last weekend was finally the time to go there, to the wedding of my former roommate.
Because I have never been in Madrid before, I decided to get there some days earlier, so that I can see something of the city. I didn't get a direct flight anymore and so I had a four hour stopover in Milano. It was such a nice day and I was really not in mood to waste the time at the airport. Very spontanous I decided to take a bus to Bergamo, have lunch there and take a walk in the old town.
When the sund went down, it was time for me to get back to the Airport. My flight was delight and I still had to wait there quite a lot of time.
I arrived at midnight in Madrid and had to take the subway to my hostel. There were still so many people on the street, drinking a glass of wine and having tapas, although it was in the middle on the week. I like this way of living.
The next days I spend walking around the city. I saw the Gran Via, Plaza de Espana, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del sol ...

I visited amongst other things the almudena cathedral. When you are climbing the dome, you have a great view over the city. What surprised me a bit, were the electric candles inside of the church for which you had to pay for to lighten them up. Since when are they not using real candles anymore?
I met the couple and friends of them, we had delicious food and a really good time. Every time I am in Spain, I can't eat enough of Jamon iberico!
The marriage ceremony was on saturday evening in the garden of the hotel where we celebrated. I actually don't have the words to describe it. It was just perfect and definetely all the friends and family from all over the world enjoyed this celebration.
After the ceremony and before the big dinner started, we had some drinks and tapas on the rooftop of the hotel.
